The Kena UpanishadWe shall continue our systematic study of the Upanishads with the Kena. We will take the help of the Sanskrit and the profound commentary on it by Adi Sankara. This is a wonderful opportunity to penetrate and be penetrated by the oldest philosophical literature in the world, which gives access to the highest wisdom. We shall spend this term on the first section of the Kena Upanishad. We will use detailed notes and transliteration of words made easily accessible to everyone, whatever their previous level of experience. Even if you are just starting on this wonderful enquiry into ‘What has called the mind to the hunt?’, the study will be a delight as we dip more and more into the extraordinary beauty of thought and of the Sanskrita language. The course is open to all interested in the teaching of the Upanishads. No prior study of either the Upanishads or Sanskrit is assumed.
